Breastfeeding Support

We offer breastfeeding support and guidance to women with breastfeeding questions, feeding difficulties, or other concerns related to breastfeeding. Our experts specialize in the clinical management of breastfeeding and are dedicated to helping new and experienced mothers, pregnant or postpartum, who have questions or concerns regarding breastfeeding or pumping.

Supportive Activities Include:

  • Evaluation of latch and milk intake
  • Help with increasing milk supply
  • Management of breast refusal
  • Evaluation of nipple and breast pain
  • Treatment of  plugged ducts, engorgement, mastitis and sore nipples
  • Evaluation of tongue
  • Management for slow weight gain
  • Support for complex breastfeeding issues
  • Breastfeeding twins, triplets
  • Weaning from breastfeeding
  • Breastfeeding while ill, hospitalized, or on medications
  • Low milk supply/restarting milk supply

We Also Provide:

  • Education about pumping and breastfeeding when returning to work or school
  • Education about the benefits of breast milk and breastfeeding basics, including: how the breast makes milk, positioning, latching, and how to tell if baby is getting enough to eat.
