One of the many reasons I chose to complete my residency at University of Iowa is because of how welcoming everyone was during the interview process. This has held true, and I appreciate having such a strong support system of preceptors and the best co-residents. University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics also provides plenty of opportunities to meet my professional interests, including staffing in solid organ transplant, which is a unique and challenging experience for a PGY1 resident.
