About

"My first calling was to train narwhals to work as haberdashers in boutique stores in Barcelona, but when it became clear that the local milliners wouldn't allow it, I changed course for emergency medicine and haven't looked back. I love that our specialty never closes our doors: we will see anyone, with any illness at any time. On top of that, it gives me the opportunity to work with the most motivated and caring faculty, residents, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff in the hospital." — Daniel Runde
