About

Haraldine (Dee Dee) Stafford is a Clinical Professor in Rheumatology. She completed her Rheumatology fellowship at University Hospitals and Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) affiliated with Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She joined the faculty at the University of Iowa in 2001 after a sojourn at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She has been the educational director for rheumatology education for medical students and residents at UI Hospitals & Clinics since 2001. She has been involved in pre-clinical medical education since that time and has been course director for two pre-clinical medical school courses since 2004. She became the Immunology Section Chief at the Iowa City VA Medical Center in 2015. Her interests are primarily in medical education and in general rheumatology, and her current clinical efforts are centered at the VA Medical Center.
