The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Academy is conducted on campus during the summer terms, meeting eight-hour days each week for eight weeks. The EMT program meets from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The EMT program is a hybrid course where the lecture materials are delivered online. The program is fast-paced and as readings and traditional lecture materials are provided online, this program will require a considerable independent study commitment from the student.

The student must schedule outside of class time one in-hospital emergency department rotation and two EMS rotations where they will observe and assist with the assessment and management patients.
