The Hospital Floor Plans can be accessed from the ATG site, which requires a username and password for access. To request access, go to the site and click on 'Register' to go to AVS Registration. Approval is usually complete within a few hours or by the next day. Be sure to fill in 'University of Iowa Hospitals' in the "Facility Name" field.
New! Beginning April 8, 2016, UI and UIHC staff must login to ATG using their HawkID credentials through the following website: https://www.atginc.com/LoginIowa.aspx
Non-UI users will continue to access the floorplans on ATG through this website: https://www.atginc.com/LoginSecure.aspx
It is necessary to download and install a program called 'Autodesk Design Review' to view the plans, unless you prefer to download and use the AutoCAD (dwg) files. Details are at the site, under 'Downloads'.
Plans are also available in PDF format. Just click on the PDF symbol next to the floor name. Some features such as layer control and markup/measure are only available by using Autodesk Design Review.
The current version of Autodesk Design Review requires administrative rights on your computer to install. If you do not have administrative rights, contact your IT support person to get it installed. UI Health Care users who do not have administrative privileges should call the HCIS help desk at 6-0001.
ATG Tips
- The ATG Active Visual System (AVS) tutorial is here
- To view a floor plan, click on the PDF or DWF button. The CAD buttons are for downloading AutoCAD .dwg files, which are useful only if you have AutoCAD or Autodesk DWG True View installed on your computer.
- To view a PDF floor plan, click on the PDF button, and zoom to the area desired. To print, right-click on the pdf and select print. Under "More Options", select Current View to print only the current view.
- For printing using Autodesk Design Review, do not use your browser print method. The latest version of ADR requires you to right-click on the area you want, and select print. A dialog box will open with choices for color or black/white, portrait or landscape, and full page or current view.
