Computed tomography

Computed tomography or a CT scan is a test that takes x-ray pictures of your body and puts them on a computer screen. Some tests need intravenous (IV), oral, and/or rectal contrast (dye) to produce a better image.

This section of the radiology procedure book will help prepare you for your test.
