Pledge to Protect Your Heart

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in both men and women in the United States. It is also one of the most preventable. We invite you to join forces with your friends, family, coworkers, and others in your community to reduce your risk for heart disease by implementing these heart healthy behaviors. We are most successful at meeting our health goals when we have people in our lives who motivate and care for us.

I pledge to:

  • Be more physically active.
  • Maintain a healthy weight.
  • Eat a nutritious diet.
  • Quit smoking.
  • Reduce my stress.
  • Get enough quality sleep.
  • Track my heart health stats and know my health numbers, including:
    • Blood pressure
    • Blood cholesterol
    • Blood sugar
    • Body weight
