Interventional Neuroradiology

The Interventional Neuroradiology Division provides comprehensive care to patients with diseases and disorders of the brain and spine and their vasculature, including brain aneurysms, stroke, and vascular malformations. The approach is minimally invasive using state-of-the-art devices under imaging guidance. These often involve catheter and wire-based techniques with a short stay for the recovery. Patients may be seen in clinic for consultation. Common diseases and procedures are as follows:

  • Diagnostic cerebral angiograms
  • Stroke
  • Intracranial aneurysm 
  • Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs)
  • Spine vascular malformations (AVMS)
  • Carotid artery stenosis (narrowing of the arteries)
  • Venous occlusive disease
  • Head and neck tumors
  • Epistaxis (nose bleeds)
