Why University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics

When I was looking at programs, I knew I wanted to be at a larger academic medical center where I could learn from and with other health professionals and where I would have a vast variety of rotations to choose from. In addition, I was enticed by the ability to staff independently on the floors on weekends, where I would be challenged to practice autonomously and build confidence in my clinical skills. When interviewing with University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, the pharmacists I interacted with were very kind and made me feel welcome. It was evident that the program leadership wants residents to succeed, so I knew I would enjoy my time here!

Favorite Part of Iowa City

I love being able to explore the many local restaurants in the area with my co-residents! I also really enjoy how Iowa City is a larger area with much to do, but there are also many parks and lakes where I can disconnect and be in nature away from the hustle and bustle.
