For the third year in a row, University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics Comprehensive Stroke Center has been honored with the highest award currently available from the American Heart Association (AHA) and American Stroke Association (ASA) for stroke care.

Bariatric surgery program achieves national accreditation

The University of Iowa Health Care bariatric surgery program has been accredited as a Comprehensive Center under the under the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), a joint program of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

University of Iowa Health Care has been named a “Leader in LGBTQ Healthcare Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) civil rights organization.
