Behavioral health continuing ed event highlights catatonia

Behavioral health nurses interested in learning more about catatonia are invited to attend a behavioral health continuing education event from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the East Room on level 8 of University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.

Aubrey Chan, MD, PhD,  will provide an in-depth presentation about diagnosing and treating catatonia. Chan graduated from the MD/PhD program at the University of Utah and completed residency in the combined Internal Medicine/Psychiatry program at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

In addition, John Wagner, director of nursing services at UI Hospitals & Clinics, will discuss the unique role behavioral health nurses play at UI Hospitals & Clinics. 

The event will offer light refreshments, a prize drawing, and an opportunity to connect with our staff and learn about their work.

This event is eligible for 1.3 continuing education contact hours, and prior registration is not required. Free parking is available to job fair participants in Parking Ramp 2.
