Poch and Caven will be available to answer questions on nursing opportunities in acute care and other nursing areas at UI Hospitals and Clinics. In addition, they’ll discuss the rewards of working in a Magnet® hospital where acute care nursing transcends to the highest standards of nursing excellence. In addition, they will cover opportunities available for UI Hospitals and Clinics nurses, including flexible scheduling, the nurse residency programs, and participation in shared governance.

Questions may be submitted prior to the event or by sending a private message to the UI Hospitals and Clinics Facebook page.

This online event follows a series of in-person open house events for current and prospective nurses to meet hospital nursing staff and explore career opportunities. Tune in by visiting the UI Hospitals and Clinics Facebook page at 7 p.m. on Dec. 5.

Caven says this online event will create an opportunity for even more people to get acquainted with the UI Hospitals and Clinics team and to begin exploring opportunities to meet each individual’s nursing career goals. It is sponsored by University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Nursing.
