Robotic surgery fan- Carolyn

Wife. Grandmother. Card shark. Robotic surgery fan.

A prolapsed uterus prompted the need for Carolyn to get surgery.

Her active life at 73 wasn't slowed down by the typical surgery requiring a large incision and lengthy recovery time. She went to University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics and had her procedure done using minimally invasive surgery. Because this procedure shortens recovery time, she was home the very next day.

Our surgeons are pioneering innovative techniques for gynecologic surgery and many other procedures to provide our patients with successful outcomes and a quicker, more comfortable recovery.

Carolyn Ritter shares her experience with urinary infrequency, and the surgery to correct it, with her surgeon, Catherine Bradley, MD.
