Trauma and Eating Recovery Group

Patients with a history of trauma or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) who also struggle with emotional eating behaviors are invited to join the Trauma and Eating Recovery Group, which combines psychoeducation, support, and self-care skills to help with recovery.

Patients will learn about the connection between eating issues and trauma histories, the impact of trauma on the body, distress signs, and the process of recovery. Our care provider will teach basic mindfulness skills, emotion management skills, and behavior modification around emotional eating, while providing an empowerment-focused environment for recovery.

The program consists of 10 weekly groups, and participants are expected to commit to the full course of the program.
