Iowa LEND is currently accepting applications for the 2024-2025 academic year. 

Requirements to apply:

FY2020 ILEND Trainee Cohort on playground outside CDDApplicants should have a demonstrated interest in people with disabilities and their family members.

Applicants must be a graduate student enrolled full time in an academic program, family member, person with a disability, or a community member with an interest in improving opportunities for people with disabilities.

Applicants must be available to attend LEND seminars from 12:00-1:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from late August to early May.

Graduate Students

Graduate students representing various disciplines including audiology, genetics, healthcare administration, law, medicine, mental health counseling, nursing, occupational therapy, policy, public health, physical therapy, psychology, school counseling, speech-language pathology, social work, special education or other approved disciplines should complete this application:

Community Member

Community members include but are not limited to law enforcement/criminal justice, direct service providers, community agencies, business owners, public office/public policy, faith-based organizations, cultural brokers, school professionals, or medical professionals.
