Midwest LEND Consortium

LEND trainees and faculty/staff from South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, and Kansas meet in Omaha each year for the annual Midwest LEND Consortium. The Consortium activities focus on current MCH issues (i.e., cultural competence, family issues, leadership issues in health care, life course, access to health care for rural populations) and also include time for trainees to interact with each other and discuss professionals interests. LEND faculty and staff also meet as a group to talk about current projects and to discuss national issues with staff members from HRSA and AUCD.
