About Gustavo Girotto

I feel deeply grateful to serve as a physician at the University of Iowa and to contribute to the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center’s mission. Each day here reminds me how meaningful it is to care for patients with compassion and scientific purpose. I joined UI Health Care because of its collaborative spirit, where discovery and empathy walk side by side. What inspires me most is the courage of our patients and the dedication of our teams, who continually teach me that medicine is as much about listening and learning as it is about treating disease. Being part of this community, helping advance investigator-initiated research, and serving alongside extraordinary colleagues is both a privilege and a calling.
