Burlap Dresses

Some people are so cute, so the saying goes, that they would look good in a burlap sack. This is certainly true for these adorable little girls who model their burlap dresses against a vintage doily. Clothes made of unusual fabrics are a part of American history; before and during World War II, large sacks of flour, grain, and animal feed were made of colorful patterned fabrics so that the bags could be recycled into clothing, curtains, and other household items.
