I enjoy the opportunity of working with patients and their families. A genetic disorder not only affects the patient but potentially the entire family and future generations. I like providing families the care and education that they need. University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital provides care to families that may not have the specialty expertise or availability of care for their specific disorder. Lysosomal storage disorders, genetic disorders that results in an enzyme deficiency, are relatively rare and unknown. Service to the families that come to the UI Stead Family Children's Hospital for this specialty care is my passion.
