Americana and art unite in this Dutch immigrant's interpretation of the American West. Plastic toys, a suitcase decorated in a paint-by-numbers landscape, and a house made of neon lights evoke visions of wildlife, enormous billboards, touristy roadside attractions, and long car trips. The result is an idealized fantasy of the USA rooted in childhood fantasies and the allure of the American Dream.
