A real wood cross-section serves as the base for this ink and resin work. Utilizing a visual juxtaposition between natural wood and manmade materials, McAdams heavily applied ballpoint pen to a dried segment of wood before dousing the ink in hot resin. As the resin runs down, gravity creates streaks of color that sit on top of the wood and pool into frozen drips.
