Caught by the artist’s camera in flight, these two hummingbirds search for sweet nectar in an ethereal landscape. Some of the smallest birds in the world, hummingbirds are capable of hovering in midair and flitting from flower to flower almost faster than you can see. In spite of their size, hummingbirds are ferociously brave and are symbols of courage, flexibility, and tenacity; the Aztec war god Huitzilopochtli is even named after the Aztec word for hummingbird.
