Child Health Specialty Clinics
The vision of Child Health Specialty Clinics (CHSC) is to assure a system of care for Iowa’s children with special health care needs.
This statewide service works to improve the health, development, and well-being of children and youth with special health care needs through partnerships with families, service providers, communities, and policy makers.
Part of Iowa’s statewide Title V public health system, and operated in collaboration with UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital, CHSC serves children from birth through 21 years of age with complicated medical and/or behavioral issues through 14 clinics in communities across Iowa.
Through public health, policy, and advocacy efforts, CHSC works to improve the lives of all Iowa children with special health care needs.
