"I have worked for many years to create my own visual language. It is through this language that I aim to ask the viewer to insert their own meaning, responding intuitively to the motifs, just as I do. The building of this language on the surface allows me to respond to successes and mistakes until I “see” the completed painting, allowing some sort of visceral experience to tell me when a work is completed."
