"I chose to become a pain medicine physician because of the relationships I could build with my patients. Caring for chronic pain requires attention to the whole patient and incorporates wellness techniques along with advanced interventions. I hope I can partner with my patients and their primary care physicians to promote self-care and rehabilitation, even at home. I am particularly interested in non-medication options for pain management and am excited about new advances in interventional and integrative techniques, such as spinal cord stimulation, acupuncture, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. My goal is to advance the science of pain care through research, education, and leadership." — Amy Pearson
