Protostudios is a state-of-the-art rapid-prototyping facility with offices located in Iowa City. They are a one-stop-shop that assists Iowa's entrepreneurs, inventors, startups, educational and medical faculty, staff, and students by converting napkin sketches to functional prototypes using the latest technologies in CAD design, and additive and subtractive processes in creating research and product ideas. Protostudios generates to-scale anatomical models for experimental studies. This includes creating life-size mannequins, simulating various disease states, and developing 3D-printed heart models for experiments.
