Determined Rose

Pennsylvania Dutch quilting influenced the floral pattern found in this print of real and imaginary flowers surrounded by green foliage. The pattern is intentionally imperfect, a nod to the folktale that historical quilters would include errors as a reminder that handmade items cannot achieve the perfection found in nature.
