Veil Tiles 1

Iznik pottery, most commonly seen decorating Turkish walls and dinnerware, inspired this series of tranquil blue earthenware tiles. Cobalt glaze runs freely from patterns of small holes poked in the clay, creating smooth streams of color that pool toward the bottom. Each tile is the result of collaboration between the artist’s design and the ceramic firing process.
