Our 2025 Kid Captains, their families, and fans kicked off the start of the upcoming Iowa football season during Kids' Day, held Saturday, Aug. 9. The annual event, hosted by the Iowa Hawkeye football team in partnership with UI Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital, provided an opportunity for Kid Captains and loved ones to get a behind-the-scenes tour of Kinnick Stadium and a chance to meet each other for the first time.

Each Kid Captain will have their story highlighted during the 2025-26 Iowa football season, beginning on Saturday, Aug. 30.
Started in 2009 as a partnership between the University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital and the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Kid Captain program honors pediatric patients by celebrating their incredible stories.
