In their words
Our family became involved with the hospital when Hudson was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia just before his second birthday in March 2019.
The staff on the oncology floor has become our family. Since day one, they have been incredible. They’ve kept our child alive more than once. It’s because of them that Hudson got to celebrate his third birthday, become best friends with his younger sister Violet and start preschool.
Each time we leave the hospital we feel like we’ve received the best care possible. The nurses and providers adore our children and treat them like their own. We’ve spent weeks admitted and Hudson loves his nurses! They are so compassionate and love what they do. Each of them knows Hudson’s likes and dislikes, as well as how to put a smile on his face. He actually asks to go to the hospital to see them!
Even in our darkest moments, we had faith in our team and knew they would do everything in their power to save our child. We honestly cannot day enough great things. They’re simply the best.
If you seek treatment at UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital, know that they will take the best care of your child. They follow the most up-to-date, evidence-based protocols and are involved in groundbreaking research. Trust them.
They are so compassionate about what they do and truly care. They put everything they have into caring for your child. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to care for my son battling cancer. Because of them, our son is in remission and thriving.
