Brenda Vergara is the Outreach Program Coordinator for the Injury Prevention and Community Outreach program at the University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital. For more than four years, she has organized outreach initiatives in partnership with local schools, nonprofits, and health care providers, including events focused on bicycle safety, ATV/UTV safety, and child passenger safety (CPS). Brenda leads the internal CPS at UI Health Care, where she oversees car seat distribution and ensures families receive education from certified technicians at discharge.
