From LeClaire, Iowa, Katina Waldorf received her kidney transplant at the University of Iowa Organ Transplant Center.
She competed in the Transplant Games' poker, darts, and 5k events.
Proving Herself for Her Children
Katina participated in the Transplant Games for her children. Katina wanted to show her children what she can do, and how healthy she has become.
Katina wants people to know that donation is not as scary or weird as you might think. Donation has been a blessing for Katina since she can now watch her children and grandchildren grow.
