John Stark serves as associate director at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, after first joining the UI Health Care Administration team in 1993. John provides administrative leadership, guidance, and direction to clinical service departments, including Anesthesia, the Center for Digestive Disease, Central Sterilizing Services, General Surgery, Hospital Dentistry, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, and Urology.

Prior to this role, John was the clinical department administrator of the Department of Anesthesia, a position he had held since November 2003. Other past experience at UI Health Care include several professional positions at the hospital in the Departments of Anesthesia and Food and Nutrition Services.
