Call your doctor if you have:

  • Fever or chills.
  • Redness, warmth, or foul smelling drainage at the incision site.
  • More pain than normal.
  • Numbness, tingling, or weakness in your arms or legs.
  • Change in bowel or bladder control.
  • Nausea and vomiting (throwing up).

Call:

  • Orthopedic Clinic at 319-356-2223 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Hospital Operator at 319-356-1616 on nights, weekends, and holidays. Ask to talk with the Orthopedic Resident on call.
