Our services provide assessment and treatment for autism and related disorders such as Asperger's and pervasive developmental disorders.
Our patients may be referred to us by health care providers or they may be self-referred by their family.
These disorders may involve communication problems, lack of social skills, intellectual disability, or specific mental impairments. Children with autism may:
Be overly sensitive to stimuli in their environment
Have difficulties with communication
Be withdrawn or have other impairments to social interaction
May exhibit patterns of behavior such as repetitive body movements
Our evaluations are tailored to the individual to address critical life needs for social, developmental, emotional, communication, learning, and behavioral functioning. Based on evaluations that include input from parents, schools, physicians, and other agencies, our team develops recommendations for medical, psychological, educational, and language issues.
As required by individual cases, our services include work with specialists in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy.
