About Bopha Chrea
Dr. Chrea is an expert in the treatment of orthopedic conditions of the foot and ankle, with a focus on trauma and post traumatic reconstruction, deformity correction, soft tissue and sports-related injuries. She also repairs Achilles tendon tears, arthritis, bunion and hammer toe procedures and minimally invasive techniques. Her research interests include ankle arthritis and Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease.
Bopha Chrea, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in treating patients with foot and ankle aliments, including acute trauma, post traumatic deformity and arthritis, foot malalignment, bunions, sport-related injuries to the foot and ankle, and revisions for prior surgeries. She is an expert in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle and treats a wide range of foot and ankle injuries.
She actively participates in research involving post traumatic ankle arthritis and Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) associated foot pathology. She was recently awarded a grant to study lower extremity gait mobility and balance confidence in CMT patients with cavovarus foot deformity
Chrea received her medical degree from Trinity College, University of Dublin before completing her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She completed a fellowship in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY.
