My favorite part of working in medical genetics is helping patients and their families to thoroughly understand their diagnoses and overcome obstacles so that they may pursue living their best life. Although navigating genetic diagnoses may be difficult, I appreciate our interdisciplinary team that ensures patients can be successful on their healthcare journey. I take pride in working for University of Iowa Health Care, where we have a focus on education, research and ultimately great patient care.
