About Tracy Thacker

I have been a International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) for the last 17 years and a breastfeeding educator for 10 years prior to that in the NICU's here and at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. I fell in love with helping mothers gain confidence in themselves and become successful breastfeeding parents. Working with the breastfeeding family is very rewarding. Whether it be here in Iowa or in my many travels living abroad, breastfeeding brings all cultures together with a common experience. One of the things I love most about being a Lactation Consultant is witnessing the little ah-ha moments and to see mothers develop into empowered women.
