April Allen, PA-C, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology from the University of Iowa. She completed her Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Regis University in Denver, Col. before returning to the University of Iowa to complete the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program at the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine.
Ms. Allen began practice at University of Iowa Health Care in the UI Urgent Care setting where she treated a variety of medical conditions, illnesses, and injuries in adult and pediatric populations. Her experience in the walk-in, acute care setting included treatment of work injuries. She is Board-certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is available to see employees for pre-placement and periodic employment physical exams, as well as treat work injuries.
