About
"For me, choosing ophthalmology was a choice that fulfilled two goals: to work with my hands in one of the most delicate and detail-oriented forms of surgery, while also still having the privilege of really getting to know my patients over the years with true longitudinal care. Glaucoma's effect on one's vision is the obvious ailment, but it also creates tremendous worry and anxiety at all points along its spectrum, even when it's just a possibility for yourself or your loved ones. I wanted to be a doctor who could provide not just healing, but comfort too, and so I saw glaucoma care as the role that I would fit best." — Andrew Pouw
