The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever. --Jacques Cousteau
Water Muses explores the fascination of water as an ongoing muse; a timeless beauty and visual poetry that has been inspiring artists for centuries.
From oceans to ice, water's numerous forms impact all facets of life. It is a universally profound symbol present in many cultures and historical periods. The selected artists in this exhibition investigate water with varying techniques and styles, providing an avenue for reflection and expression. A majority of the Earth's surface and our body's composition is made of water; from lakes and rivers to sweat and tears there is an inherent interconnectedness. The mesmeric beauty of water embraces the ebb and flow of change, adapting to an ever-evolving world. A forever muse.
