Greg Van Dusseldorp's artwork delves into liminal spaces while engaging deeply with materiality. His art navigates the physical and metaphysical realms, transforming everyday experiences into immersive visual landscapes. Van Dusseldorp's work combines painting and sculpture to evoke tension between control and chaos. Gestures and mark-making highlight human imprecision, while layering techniques balance abstraction with traces of the human condition. His art reflects fragmented narratives of memory, loss, and desire, and invites a meditative confrontation with the present moment.
The process of creation is as crucial as the finished piece, involving a dialogue between the artist, material, and space. Van Dusseldorp aims to offer a sensory invitation to explore the complexities of contemporary existence.
