Being a dually certified nurse practitioner in pediatric primary care and psychiatric mental health has allowed me to expand my knowledge, maximize my clinical experiences, and broaden my expertise. I joined University of Iowa Health Care because of the collaborative and team approach that is utilized. This approach allows patients and families to not only feel well supported, but also to be an active member in their plan of care. My favorite thing about my job is having the opportunity to connect with children, adolescents, and their families to enhance their mental health and wellbeing. Children are so resilient and getting to navigate their mental health journeys with them is truly a privilege.
