I chose the University of Iowa Health Care because of the variety of rotations offered, especially in critical care, and staffing opportunities that matched my clinical interest. Coming from Kansas, visiting in person confirmed it was the right fit because everyone made me feel welcome, and I could tell pharmacy was truly respected as part of the healthcare team. I also knew the program would give me the opportunity to learn from excellent preceptors, which would help prepare me for my goal of pursuing a PGY2.
