Kerri Potter began teaching Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and follow-up groups at UIHC in 2011. She helped create an undergraduate course in Mindfulness at UI, teaching it from 2011-2020. Kerri has also introduced Mindfulness to teens at UIHC and in the community. She trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli through the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and earned their Certified MBSR Teacher distinction.

A longtime practitioner of meditation and yoga, she regularly participates in extended silent retreats. Kerri is a teacher in the Iowa City Community Schools, where she supports Mindfulness for teachers and students.
