• Investigate outbreaks and clusters of infections at University of Iowa Health Care
• Implement national infection control guidelines and standards to help prevent transmission of infections
• Present data and activities that improve the safety of the environment
• Assess trends, identify problems, and design and implement specific interventions and quality improvement programs
