Why University of Iowa Health Care?

I knew from very early on that UI Health Care was where I wanted to complete residency. Throughout pharmacy school, I had the opportunity to learn from pharmacists, preceptors, and mentors who challenged me to grow while also making me feel supported. Those experiences gave me a good sense of the culture at Iowa and the type of environment I wanted for residency. I was also drawn to the variety of rotation experiences available. I have several areas of pharmacy that I am interested in, so having the flexibility to explore those interests while also gaining experience in areas that are new to me was really important. I knew Iowa would give me the opportunity to see a wide range of patient populations and practice areas and help me continue figuring out where I see myself long term. More than anything, I knew I would be surrounded by people who would push me to become a better pharmacist while supporting me along the way.
