Why University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics

I chose the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics because of the people, the numerous unique experiences offered, and the opportunity to pursue a residency focused in the ambulatory care setting. Despite residency interviews being conducted via Zoom this past year, the culture of University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics radiated through the conversations I had with the preceptors, coordinators, and residents. Throughout my interview, I had learned more about the numerous collaborative practice agreements and pharmacist protocols. This made me feel that UI Hospitals & Clinics not only empowers their pharmacists, but pushes them to work at the top of their license, which is exactly what I was looking for in a program.
