My favorite moments working in dermatology are when I can work as a team with patients to find answers to their questions and to develop a treatment plan that is right for them. I believe shared decision making and giving patients the information necessary to be active participants in their healthcare are essential to providing the best care. I love working at the University of Iowa because the Midwest is my home, and it is a privilege to serve the community that helped me to become a doctor.
